This privacy policy describes how MTS Digital Ventures SRL ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Imposter Royale, available as a paid mobile app on iOS and Android, and as a free web client at imposterroyale.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the Imposter Royale experience:

  • Account Information: When playing via the web client, a guest session token is generated automatically. Mobile app users may sign in via Google or Apple to sync their account across devices. We may collect your display name, email address, and profile photo from these authentication providers.
  • Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, app version, timezone, locale, and push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver the best experience.
  • Usage & Diagnostics: We collect anonymized usage data including game sessions played, features used, crash reports, and performance metrics via Firebase Analytics to improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide, maintain, and operate the game service, including real-time multiplayer functionality.
  • Improve the game experience, fix bugs, and develop new features based on usage patterns.
  • Analyze aggregated usage trends to understand how players interact with the game.
  • Send important service updates, security alerts, and support messages when necessary.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Imposter Royale:

  • Firebase Analytics (Google) — Usage analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics.
  • Google & Apple Sign-In — Authentication for mobile app users.
  • Pusher / Laravel Reverb — Real-time WebSocket communication for live gameplay.
  • Vercel — Hosting and deployment of the web client.
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, and security for our domains.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over TLS encryption, and we follow industry best practices for data security. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

Game session data (room codes, player names, game results) is temporary and automatically deleted after games end. Account data for mobile app users is retained while your account is active. Activity logs are retained for up to 365 days for security and diagnostics. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Under EU/GDPR regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction — Request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

7. Cookies & Analytics

The Imposter Royale web client uses only essential cookies required for the service to function (session tokens, locale preferences). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing trackers. Analytics data is collected via Firebase Analytics in an anonymized form.

8. Children's Privacy

Imposter Royale is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 9. Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Imposter Royale after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
